CONDITIONS OF ENTRY TO ISRAEL FOR TOURISTS

STATE OF THE BORDER
Closed borders.
Preliminary approval from the Population and Immigration Authority or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is required before boarding a plane bound for Israel.

RESTRICTIONS

​ 1. According to the measures taken since August 2021, Israel does not allow entry into the country through any of its borders to any foreign person / tourist who has more than 180 days from the last Covid-19 vaccination / booster to the date of your departure from Israel.

For example: if you have your arrival date in Israel for November 15, 2021 and your departure from Israel for November 25, 2021, your date The expiration date of the last vaccine given (180 days) cannot be before November 25, 2021, the date on which you should leave the Holy Land.
2. Entry to Israel will only be approved for those tourists who present a negative PCR test for the corona virus performed 72 hours. before leaving the country of origin and undergo other tests that are detailed below, in the item "Compulsory exams". You can also present an antigen test instead of the PCR.

When boarding in the country of origin bound for Tel Aviv, a negative antigen test must be submitted up to 24 hours before departure.
Covid-19 recovery certificates will be accepted exclusively from the European Union in the last 180 days.
Visitors must leave Israel within 180 days of their vaccination / recovery.
The following form must be completed: click here. It must be filled out in the 24 hours prior to boarding. If the person meets the requirements to enter the country, they will be notified immediately. A copy must be printed and saved digitally in order to present it.
A new PCR is required upon arrival at Ben Gurion Airport.
They must remain in quarantine until the result of this new PCR is obtained (between 12 and 24 hours). If negative, you can leave. If the result is positive, it will be a requirement to remain in quarantine in that same place.
To obtain information about specific cases such as vaccine combinations, recovery certificates, among others, the websites of the Ministry of Health and the Population and Immigration Authority should be consulted.
EXAMS MANDATORY IN ISRAEL
With mandatory quarantine included for vaccinated and / or recovered passengers.

On return to your country:
At 48 hours. before boarding airport, you must undergo a second PCR test, also previously paid at the previous link.
COMPULSORY HEALTH INSURANCE
The entry of foreign citizens to Israel will only be authorized with the presentation of the traveler's insurance. Without this insurance, the application for admission will be immediately denied by the Population and Immigration Authority or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
This traveler insurance must include a section dedicated to Covid-19, where it specifies that said insurance purchased includes coverage for the following cases:
Medical expenses for treatments in case of contagion of the disease,
Medical expenses in case of needing hospitalization,
Expenses for isolation in a hotel, in case of contagion during the trip or for being near someone who has tested positive for Covid-19.

MANDATORY ENTRY AND DEPARTURE FORMS
International passengers must have an electronic approval obtained 24 hours prior to departure from their home countries and another 24 hours prior to departure from Israel.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS TO ENTER ISRAEL
Copy of traveler's insurance purchased before the flight.
Copy of your COVID-19 vaccination certificate.
Mandatory travel authorization form prior to arrival. Foreign travelers must obtain an electronic approval 10-21 days prior to departure. Exit. Travelers with a valid Permit to Stay must complete a form per separated. Contact us for assistance.
COVID-19 test required upon arrival. All passengers must be tested for COVID-19 upon arrival. The passengers must pay for the COVID-19 PCR tests required to enter Israel, either by arrive in Israel or before the trip using this form.
Negative COVID-19 test results prior to arrival (if you were not infected with the disease 90 days prior to shipment). Passengers must have a negative COVID-19 PCR test result. The proof It must be done a maximum of 72 hours before leaving the country of origin.
The tourist passport must have a minimum expiration date of 6 months counting from the date of return to their country. ​​
The person in charge of the group must present to the relevant airport authorities the Proof of the purchase of the tourist package in Israel, the payment receipts, the complete list of all the members of the group and their passports, with the list of hotels and dates of stay in each one. In the event that any of these data does not coincide with those previously presented by the agency, said authorities may even prohibit the entire group from entering the country.
SECURITY MEASURES
It is mandatory to wear a mask in public.
Passengers must wear a mask in all places public closed and inside the bus.
THE PROCESS OF ENTRY TO ISRAEL
Non-Israelis who want to enter Israel will go through several steps along the way:

Confirmation of submission of entry declaration form.

Vaccination certificate certifying the performance of vaccinations in accordance with the procedure required in Israel.
Certificate of digital recovery
Exceptional entry permit from the Ministry of the Interior (exceptions scheme, groups).

IMPORTANT
The Ben Gurion Airport Population and Immigration Authority will conduct random reviews of documents and compliance with conditions.
A PCR test must be performed after landing at Ben Gurion Airport and travelers must go into isolation until a negative result is obtained, or for 24 hours, whichever comes first.
​The vaccines with which you can travel to Israel are those approved by the World Health Organization: Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Johnson, Moderna, Sinovac and Sinopharm. As of December 1, entry will also be allowed for those inoculated with Sputnik V. Those vaccinated with Sputnik V: A serological test must be performed at Ben Gurion Airport and travelers must enter isolation until a positive result is obtained (subject to a negative result in the PCR test to be performed after landing).
If the serological test result is positive, travelers may receive a green pass for a month and stay in brief isolation (until you receive a negative PCR test result performed upon arrival in Israel or for 24 hours, whichever occurs first).
If the serological test result is negative, travelers can remain in Israel, but must enter total isolation (i.e. for 14 days with the option to shorten isolation to 7 days) or decide to return to their country of origin.

How to shorten the period of isolation
SPECIAL ATTENTION
Foreign citizens who do not meet these conditions will be denied entry to Israel and asked to return to their country of origin.
Please note: A Those who present a forged document, or are found to be infected and refuse to go to an isolation facility, or violate the isolation requirement, will be denied entry into Israel for a period of 5 years.
Violators of isolation, other than confirmed cases, will be denied entry to Israel for a period of 3 years.
ABOUT COVID-19 VACCINES
Entry of foreigners vaccinated or recovered abroad, older or younger than 12 years of age alike:
Foreigners who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 or recovered will be able to enter Israel through Ben Gurion Airport under the following conditions:
If they hadn't been in a red country for the 14 days before entering Israel.
If they have been vaccinated with a vaccine approved by the World Health Organization (WHO) or if their recovery is in accordance with the procedure required in Israel, as detailed below.
The recognized vaccines in Israel are Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson, AstraZeneca, Sinovac, SinoPharm, the Serum Institute of India.
The Sputnik V vaccine is also recognized in Israel, but there are additional requirements detailed below.
To those who do not meet these conditions will be denied entry to Israel unless they show up at Exceptions Committee and receive a special entry permit.

Who does Israel recognize as vaccinated or recovered?
1. Those who have been vaccinated with Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson, AstraZeneca, Sinovac, SinoPharm, the Serum Institute of India:
He received two doses and it has been at least 14 days since the second dose on the day of entry into Israel (but no more than 180 days before leaving Israel).
OR
He received a booster dose and at least 14 days have passed until the day of entry into Israel.
2. Those vaccinated with the Janssen (J&J) vaccine:
He received a dose and it was at least 14 days before the day of entry into Israel (but no more than 180 days before leaving Israel).
He received a booster dose and at least 14 days have passed until the day of entry into Israel.
3. Holders of a certificate of digital recovery, recognized by Israel, based on a positive result in a NAAT test (molecular test similar to PCR):
Those for whom at least 11 days have passed from the positive test to the day of their entry into Israel (but no more than 190 days before leaving Israel).
Those who received at least one dose of the WHO-approved vaccines in addition to their recovery (no importance in the order of events).

4. Those vaccinated by Sputnik V, a from 01.12.2021 , who underwent a serological test in Israel and obtained a positive result:
Received two doses and at least 14 days have passed to the day of entry into Israel (but no more than 180 days before leaving Israel).
He received a booster dose and at least 14 days have passed until the day of entry into Israel.
Note: Those vaccinated with Sputnik will remain in isolation until a positive serological test result is obtained in addition to other requirements.
5. Those who received one dose or more of a vaccine approved by WHO, and have recovered, and possess a digital recovery certificate that can be verified with a positive NAAT test result and no more than six months have passed since recovery.
